including the 3 late applications we received in the past few days.
I am sharing some statistics which may guide us in our selection process:
1. Total applications (new , reapplied, late): 72
2. Female applicants: 8, Male applicants: 64

We have some selection criteria established when we screened acpplications
last year. Perhaps on top of that we need to consider how to deal with
candidates # 50 and 65 who were supported to participate last year but
failed to attend because of personal reasons and candidates # 7 and 14 who
were put on wait list last year.
