Dear colleagues,
I am pleased to convey to you, on behalf of the Director-General of UNESCO,
this message to inform you that the UNESCO-UNEVOC International Centre for
Technical and Vocational Training has been officially inaugurated today,
Monday 8 April 2002.
The UNESCO-UNEVOC International Centre is dedicated to strengthen and
upgrade technical and vocational education and training for the world of
work in UNESCO's Member States, with particular reference to developing and
least developed countries.
Official Messages announcing the inauguration of the Centre are sent out by:
Sir John Daniel, Assistant Director General for Education, UNESCO Paris;
Professor Klaus Huefner, President German National Commission for UNESCO;
Mr. Pekka Aro, ILO, Geneva; and Rupert Maclean, Director. UNESCO-UNEVOC
International Centre, Bonn.
