> Case Studies on Technical and Vocational Education in Asia and the Pacific
> English, 371 pages, Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (Australia) and UNESCO/PROAP Bangkok, 1995.
> UNESCO under the UNEVOC Project commissioned case studies in technical and vocational education in Asia and the Pacific. Researchers from Australia, Bangladesh, China, Fiji, India, Indonesia, Iran, Japan, Malaysia, Pakistan, Republic of Korea, Thailand and Viet Nam produced individual case studies with particular reference to the problems, issues and trends in technical and vocational education in the respective countries. A regional meeting in September 1994 synthesized the outcomes of the researchers and formulated a series of recommendations pertaining to possible directions that might be pursued by governments in the region to improve the status of technical and vocational education. The case studies are accompanied by a conference report and an overview which provides a regional synthesis and recommendations.
