Talofa Taeboa, Joe and Colleagues,
Nice to get a message from Kiribati now that we have a new mate on line!
With reference to the Constitution, I will check to make sure the changes
are included and I can re-send the updated version, so please check again
and let me know of any other changes before Wellington. I would strongly
suggest that once we approve our Constitution in Wellington then we should
elect the officers so we can get on with our strategies that we agreed to in
Suva, 2001.
Attached are a couple of media releases on our national TV and newspapers by
our institution for you information.
Our SATVETI Constitution is based on the legal requirements here but if any
member of our association would like to have a copy to be used as a
guideline in developing their national association, let me know and I will
e-mail a copy. I have informed the members of our local association about
all the developments of our regional body and with our association with COL
and the use of ODL as an option of delivering TVET and they were all excited
about it and are looking forward to make contact with you in future.
Say hullo to MP Joeli for me Joe.

Subject: RE: [TVET Pacific] 2ND INSTITUTE MEETING IN WELLINGTON
Bula all,
The Pan Commonwealth Forum for ODE was ineed a great opportunity for us here
at FIT to gauge where we could take Distant Education and the options it
would have for us as a Tertiary Education provider in TVET.
Since the 3rd one is scheduled to happen in 2004 in NZ, more of us could
perhaps attend.
By the way Perive, Joeli, is now a member of parliment has been since the
first quarter of this year. I am not to sure whether he had made contact
with the North Pacific, but it is something I could get to immediately if
the feed back on this is a negative.
By the way how are we on our constitution, have we now got our corrected
version for discussion in Wellington. Would it be ok if a copy (revised
version if there is one) be circulated again.
Bye for now, jtkm
