I would like to congratulate all of those countries who sent delegates to the Second Management Institute. As a result of this meeting, the Pacific has now formalised the Pacific Association of Technical and Vocational Education - PATVET together with an approved constitution, a board of Directors, appointed offices and at the time of leaving Wellington, at least 75% paid up members. This group will be significant in carrying forward the program of regional co-operation and as far as COL is concerned, co-ordinating the efforts in Open, Distance and Flexible Learning.
My thanks go to all of those who participated. It was a most enjoyable experience working with you all and I hope that you all travelled safely.
My particular thanks to TOPNZ for hosting the meeting and in particular to Martin Maclean.
Special thanks go to Jen Williams and Kellee Ngan whose hard work, attention to detail and moments of inspiration made it an extremely productive week.
Best wishes
John Bartram
