Ensuring Equitable Access to ICTs in the Asia-Pacific Region
18/12/2002 (UNESCO Bangkok) - One of the basic principles for national ICT policies in the Asia-Pacific region is to create an enabling environment for the development and use of ICTs and to ensure that everyone will have equal opportunities for access to information. This is one of the main conclusions of the participants of the inaugural meeting of the Asia-Pacific Information Network (APIN) that was held last week in Bangkok, Thaïland.
